I grew up in Sunset Park in Brooklyn, New York.. I was born into a very traditional Palestinian home where women didn’t really have much of a voice. I was one out of eight children and let’s just say I had a pretty challenging childhood. Being one of eight children and not having much growing up always left me feeling empty and depressed that and being abused my entire childhood. I lived three decades of my life chasing things and people that had no real value in my life because I didn’t value who I was and was never thought how to.

In fact, just a few years ago I was homeless, depressed and going on my third child, alone. I thought I had my life figured out until my life hit rock bottom and it became a daily nightmare that I just wanted to wake up from.
